Pennant Cup
What is Pennant Cup?
Pennant Cup is for individual teams of fours. Your club could enter 1, 2 or more rinks of 4 players.
This event allows clubs to give their reserve or non-selected Pennant players a run each week in a competitive environment.
How can your club be a part of Pennant Cup?
It’s important to note that the players participating may change from week to week. There is also no penalty if you need to use a lot of those reserves for a normal Pennant round and you cannot field your Pennant cup rink. If you don’t have enough to fulfil your Pennant Cup rinks, one of your Pennant Cup rinks would forfeit that week with no negative consequences or fines that you normally would get in State Pennant.
It provides a great opportunity for new players, older members or players of lesser ability to also pull on the club colours and represent their club with pride, in a more competitive, yet fun and social atmosphere.
2024-25 Pennant Cup
This event is open for all clubs to enter one, two or more rinks of four (4) players, to be played at a venue to be determined every Saturday during the Pennant season – 22nd Feb to 26th April.
Depending on final entries and logistics, the plan will be to have a finals campaign for the Pennant Cup sides as well e.g. Semis & Final. Please remember, whilst there is NO set CoP for this event, the sportsmanship of this competition suggests that participants are graded 6 or 7.
The final entry fee is not known as yet, and we are endeavouring to keep it at a level that covers the after-game snacks each week. e.g. $10pp.
There are a maximum of 14 slots available. Entries will be on a first come first served basis. Once we have a venue confirmed, we will open up entries via Bowlslink for Clubs to take advantage of this opportunity.
