Vale Wayne Comber

It is with great sadness to advise the passing of Wayne Comber, one of our Local Legends for Zone 10 & the new Metro North-West Region on Monday,16th December 2024.

Tough as nails and never to be underestimated, Wayne was a truly unique Bowls Secretary and fondly acknowledged by our various member clubs. Great supporters of the Zone/Region State Triples Championships! Now reunited with many of our star-studded cast of friends who’ve gone before him, I can only imagine the incredible Christmas party they’ll be having up there.

Our visits to Greenlees Park BC will never be the same without Wayne. However, I know his protégés will continue his legacy, and we will always cherish the warm connections we have with the members at Greenlees Park Bowling Club.

Rest easy, our dear friend. Reunite with your loved ones and those scallywags we all miss so much. Share stories, laugh, and have the good old catch-up and a cloud cocktail. You will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories!
